Lunch restaurant in Pisa

Hello can anyone recommend a lunch restaurant in Pisa that has great food and not too much of a tourist trap. Thanks as always for your suggestions

Can't recommend anywhere in town centre, but can certainly say don't count on anywhere in the LeaningTower area!

We've enjoyed lunch several times at both Osteria dei Cavalieri and at Trattoria Sant'Omobono.

Although I always hesitate to give a non-recent recommendation (4 years ago), do check out the sandwich shop "I Porci Comodi" --- it's tiny and you order your sandwiches and then eat outdoors at tables beside a small park. A 10 minute walk south of the tower. We stayed in Pisa for 6 nights and this is the only place I remember really well. I'd be surprised if it has since become any kind of trap, since it's not on the route-to-be-avoided between the train station and the tower. I literally never eat sandwiches at home, but sandwiches in Italy are great. Plus, not eating in a restaurant will give you extra time to see more of the wonderful art and architecture in Pisa.

Thanks for your replies. We were in Pisa today and a local recommendation was Branzo, a seafood restaurant in the old town. It was outstanding for anyone looking for seafood while in Pisa.
