Hello!
We are arriving at the chiusi chianciano train station at noon tomorrow December 21 and have a one hour drive to our agriturismo near pienza along sp 146.
Since we have some extra time we would like to perhaps have lunch and walk around- we were looking at montepulciano since it is right on the route.
Can anyone help us with a suggestion for food as well as parking? Thanks so much!

No doubt there are several other excellent places too.
There is parking all along the walls and a lot at the top of the town and the bottom of the town outside the walls. There are tons of restaurants but we never at lunch in any so can't recommend a specific one. It is a beautiful town and the views from the ramparts are spectacular -- worth a stroll through the town and to the church and town square and to view point to the Val d'Chiana and Val d'Orcia.
