My wife and I need to transport our suitcases between Florence and a hotel in Siena in late October. We are walking. I have not been able to find a service. Any suggestions?

Please clarify for us. You are walking/hiking from Florence to Siena? Goggle maps says it is a 14 hour walk. Is this all in the same day? I suppose any car hire could do this for you as long as your hotel in Siena is fully aware of the expectation of your luggage. Please report back after your trip. We would really like to hear about this hike. Have a great experience.

Sorry I was unclear. On Oct.26 we will end a visit with friends in Florence. We want to walk a portion (4 days) of the Via Sanese to Siena. We do not want to lug our suitcase. We have backpacks. Our hotel in Siena will hold our suitcase until our arrival. However, we need luggage transport from Florence to Siena for the suit case. I have heard from 2 car services so far. One quoted 150 Euro, the other 250 Euro. Those quotes seemed very expensive. I was hoping for alternatives.
Heck, I might even go round trip by bus or train Florence to Siena, drop the luggage and return to start the walk for far cheaper.

Sounds like a cool hike. Yes, I would just take them there myself round trip (1.5 hour one way by train) and make a short day trip of it. As long as your hotel will store them for 4-5 days, that is the best idea and cheapest.
