Luggage Storage - Naples Airport

I keep seeing conflicting information regarding luggage storage at the Naples Airport. Does anyone have current information on whether there is storage, and if so, is it reliable?

We are flying into Naples from Germany landing about noon, and we want to catch the bus into Sorrento later that day around 6pm. In between, we wanted to take in the Archeological Museum in Naples and maybe catch a meal.

Any information is welcomed. I am aware of older topics, but I'm most interested in anyone with current info.

Thank you, however, I suppose I should have been more specific with my information request.

Does anyone in recent times, perhaps the last calendar year, have experience with storing luggage at the Naples Italy airport. In forums, I've seen people a few years ago say that this practice was halted due to security and safety issues.

I suppose I could bite the bullet and call the airport to confirm if the info on their website is current, but I was just curious if anyone can confirm if this is still available from first hand experience.

I haven't been to Naples airport but the typical arrangement at larger train stations and some airports in Italy is that staff get a good look at you and maintain control of all the luggage storage. (Some parts of Europe even x-ray the bag that you leave.) There are not lockers where you have the control to take things in and out unobserved. Most smaller train stations don't have either. If the airport doesn't work out, then there is storage at Napoli Centrale station.

From a trip Advisor poster, Oct 3, 2016 (that's pretty recent):

"We used the facility for part of the day so we could visit the archaeological museum in Naples before a late flight. It costs 7 euros per day. It is on the first floor sharp left just before security. As it is unattended you need to dial 555 from a phone by Fast Track (the one by Custodia Baggagia itself was not working). An airport official took our case to security to check it over before letting us place it in a large locker in the storeroom. It is very secure. On our return we again dialled 555 and someone cam e quickly. However I am not sure what capacity there is regarding number of lockers or what you do if they are all full."

Napoli Unplugged is a pretty reliable site and they also mention left luggage service:

But if for some reason it doesn't work out, Laura has given you the other option of checking it at Centrale.
