Does anyone know if there is luggage storage in Stresa at the train station or anywhere else?
We have friends Arriving by train and thought we’d spend time in Stresa, go up the tram, then head to Verbania via ferry. (More fun than taking bus from Verbania station).

No, I don't know. But when I visited the TI near the boat dock I was impressed by their helpfulness, even late in the afternoon. Maybe they would know? Or maybe hold a few suitcases?

Karen, I recall it is a station without a biglietteria, i.e., self service only. There is a bar, I think, (aren’t they required by law? 😁) but no bag storage.

According to this website under "Servizi", there's no Deposito Bagagli in Stresa station - https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stazione_di_Stresa . I checked my RS Italy guidebook (which is a few years old) and there's no mention of luggage storage in Stresa. I suspect your friends are going to have to haul their luggage with them.

Thanks for the responses. My husband and I will just split up- one will take the bag by ferry back to Verbania, and the other will go up the tram with our friends, and take later ferry.
We'll ask at the ticket window for the ferry to see if they would store a small roller bag.

Contact any hotel in Stresa to see if you can check your bag there with s bellman. A larger more expensive hotel may offer this service.
