Luggage storage in Pisa? Quick visit-training from Monterosso to Florence...

We are 2 couples training from Monterroso to Florence on Saturday October 4,
and we like to stop for an hour or two to see the Campo dei Miracoli and all in Pisa.

If we get out of. Monterroso by noon, we should have time, right?

Are there lockers at the train station for roller bags?

Is it the main train stop the one we want?

Could we call a day or two before to reserve a time for any that want to climb the tower?

Questions, questions...
Thanks!!!

Yes, according to p. 591 of Rick's Italy book, which is always 100% correct at the time of printing, the deposito bagagli costs 3 euros per bag for 12 hours and is located at the far end of platform 1, just after the police station. Be prepared to show your passport as ID. Some Italian bag deposits (e.g. Rome) have required me to also have a lock on my bag. See http://www.opapisa.it/en/plan-your-visit/practical-information/ticket.html for online tower reservations, not by phone.

P.S. Next year's book will say 4 euros/bag and tower reservations up to 1 day ahead online.

Laura-
Are you recommending the Pisa Centrale Station to him or the San Rosore Station?

We are doing exactly the same thing, but need to eventually get to the Pisa airport to pick up a car at Hertz.

Coming from Monterosso, can one stop at the San Rosore Station and leaving bags, or must it be the Centrale Station?

From which station do I catch a train to the Pisa airport for the rental car pickup? Or is there a better way to get to the airport once we get our luggage?

Thanks.
