luggage storage in Paestum?

We plan to travel directly to Paestum by train, tour the city then head to our Amalfi coast base, Sorrento. Is there anywhere in Paestum to store luggage for a few hours? The new R.S. Italy book says there is no option for this at the Paestum train station. Hope someone can help us! Also, is travel by boat around the coast still reliable in early October?

I go to Paestum nearly every year, have not seen luggage storage at the station. It's not much of a station, really, but there is a TI desk there, at least during the summer, not sure about October.
