I read in Rick's Rome book that at La Spezia Centrale train station that along track 1 is a luggage storage for 3 Euros/day. My friend and I each have a large bag we wish to leave for 3 days while we are at the Cinque Terre. Has anyone used it? Any trouble? We would pick up on our way to Rome.

Hmmm. Seems to be some conflicting reports out there as these from after June 2017 indicate that left-luggage services are open again:
