We are driving from Rome to Siena and would love to stop and visit CdB on the way. Worried about our luggage though. Are there any options on places to store our luggage that make sense and aren't too difficult? We pick up our car at 9:00 am, hotel check in in Siena isn't until 3:00.....seems like a perfect little stop on the way rather than taking a side trip later in the week. Any suggestions? We don't mind paying someone. ..but need it to be easy to leave and easy to pick back up.
Jennifer,
There is luggage storage at the train station in Orvieto, so this may be a possibility for you.
Why not leave your luggage in the trunk of the rental car?
If you Google: luggage storage Orvieto, you'll get a number of hits, not necessarily recent enough to be useful, but there should be one from Fodor's that's reasonably current. It should prove helpful.
(I'm traveling and posting from a tablet and don't know how to post a link. I've only had the tablet for 2 years...)
