My husband and I will arrive in Milan on the morning of Aug. 27th but would like to go to the Duomo before catching a train for Varenna to spend the night. We will have a carry on bag each and would like to know if there is a place to check the bags?

Look for signs to Deposito Bagagli

On exiting From the train platform, in the first concourse , you want to go to the left, go down the travelators ,
Heading towards hungry jacks, just before the station exit, go left, the baggage storage is in a short corridor to the right.
Deposit, get a ticket,
Pay when collecting, €5/6. Per bag for about 4/5 hrs. Give yourselves plenty of time when collecting as lines can be long.
And don’t forget to validate you train ticket.
Leaving Varenna in late July, an American tourist, having been in Italy a week (and using the trains) still didn’t know they had to validate tickets and had the pleasure of being fined on our train when the inspectors jumped on.
