I will be taking the Campania Express from
Pompeii. I need to store my luggage while visiting the Pompeii sight. I will have one large suitcase and a backpack to check-in. Can I do this at the train station?
How faraway is the train station from the Pompeii ruins? I have a problem arm so I do not want to do much lifting of luggage. What station will I get the Campania Express?

The Campagnia Express runs on the same tracks as the Circumvesuviana. So your station is Pompeii Scavi/Villa di Mistiri. Because of cost cutting, like government in the US, the Cirvumvesuviana has a very lean staff.
We don’t have many reports of the train station checking service, which does exist. But we do have MANY positive reports of the Pompeii Scavi ticket office checking, which is about 200-300 feet away from the train.

I have good luck writing sights when I have questions. I was there in November 2024 and did notice people on the train getting off with luggage so there must be a facility. Pompeii for visitors: [email protected]

Information on luggage storage ("Cloakroom Services") at the scavi from the official website:

It's labeled on the map provided on that same website. Zoom in to the area in the lower left of the map, next to the"Porta Marina Superiore", text, which is the main entrance. Look for the little suitcase icon. It's not far at all from the Circumvesuviana Pompei Scavi Villa Dei Misteri train station.

They do warn that space can fill sometimes quickly during the busiest seasons/hours of the day. There is luggage storage at the station: hopefully someone else can chime in here but unless things have changed, bag storage there is on the 2nd floor - up the stairs - and involves per-bag fees.
