Luggage storage

My wife and I will travel to Rome then later Florence and Tuscany.
We are considering packing in one bag for Rome and leaving the other bag for the second part of the trip at Termini for a few days. How long can you leave luggage in storage at Termini?

KiPoint runs the left luggage service at Termini. Leaving bags for an extended period can be expensive. Here are their storage fees:

For each piece of baggage service fees are € 6,00 for the first 5 hours, € 1/hour from the 6th to the 12th hour, and € 0,50 for every additional hour.

There are numerous places near Termini that offer storage at cheaper rates. Bag B&B is one with good ratings.
