Luggage lockers at Florence train station?

The guidebook says there are no luggage lockers in the train stations in Italy. Does anyone know of luggage lockers in Florence? We may have to leave the city in the morning if we can't find a safe place to leave our luggage. Would prefer to leave in the afternoon.

The guide book says there are no luggage lockers. Hardly anyplace has lockers anymore because of terrorism concerns, There is, however, a baggage check room that will hold your luggage for you. The same is true of many train stations.
