Where's the best place to store luggage for the day in or near Milano Centrale? The most recent post I can find here mentions Kibag, but web searches say that has very long lines at drop-off and pick-up. Other web searches are inconclusive or outdated. A locker very close to the station would seem best for safety and minimal wait times.
We'd want to store two carry-on sized bags and two day packs for most of a day.
This spring I stored luggage at Milan Central twice and neither time had a long line.
Stored our luggage at KiBag at the central station when I was in Milan in August. We got to the KiBag store shortly after 11:00 in the morning. The line was long. I don't remember the details exactly now, but there was a choice of checking bags by the hour or for the full day. (Maybe a clerk came out of the KiBag store to tell everyone waiting in line about the option.) The option to check the bag for a full day was what we chose and we barely had to wait at all to check the bags. A separate counter in the store handled the transaction. On the return that same evening, about 6:30, there was absolutely no one in line, either reclaiming luggage or leaving luggage.
I've used it several times this year and always a line that moves slowly.
