Is it safe to leave luggage in the trunk of your rental car? Also which in the best lot to park in outside of Venice and what should we expect to pay.

Hi Esther. Risk of leaving luggage in trunk is similar to U.S. If luggage is not visible and in relatively safe area or parking garage you should be fine, but of course no guarantees. Just like here, do not make a scene of putting stuff in trunk, if possible do it before you arrive at parking spot. If going to Venice, suggest you get the Rick Steves Italy or Venice book, covers all details such as where to park and will enhance our planning and visit. Enjoy your trip!
