I was wondering how much it really matters what colour your luggage is when travelling in Italy. I have a lilac Heys carry-on and was wondering if this would attract too much unwanted attention from pickpockets/thieves? Should I stick to the neutral colours that everyone has?

I wouldn't sweat this detail. Pickpockets can easily ID tourists with any color of luggage, so wouldn't say this makes any difference.

Not to worry, you will stand out just like any other tourist. Luggage color doesn't matter.
