We will be traveling from Lucerne to Menaggio mid-June. It looks like the best options would be to either take the train to Lugano (maybe stop for lunch) and then bus to Menaggio or take the train all the way to Como then ferry to Menaggio. Any suggestions on the most pleasant route? We'll have pretty light luggage. I was thinking ferry might be the most scenic, but also we will be using the ferry quite a bit while we are on Lake Como and then again at our next stop in the Liguria region. Any pros and cons of either I need to consider?
