My family is traveling by train this summer through Germany, Austria, Italy & Switzerland. We've booked rooms in each town knowing the amazing interconnectedness between towns, but now I'm struggling to figure out how to travel in one day between Lucca and Interlaken (or more specifically, Wengen). Has anyone done this trip, and know how this would be done? Thanks in advance!

Fastest connections from Lucca to Wengen are 9 hours, departing about 7:30 a.m. This is a common route for Rick's readers, or more specifically, they often travel between a Cinque Terre town and Muerren or Gimmelwald.
