Lucca to Cinque Terre

Hi there!

We are staying in Lucca this week. I’d love to make a day trip to Cinque Terre. What is the best way to do that?

Also, a couple people from the group want to go to the leaning tower of Pisa. Is it possible to leave from Lucca and go to the leaning tower and then continue on to Cinque Terre in the same day?

Yes, get a train from Lucca to Pisa S. Rossore, which is walking distance to the Tower. Several direct morning trains taking 21 to 26 minutes. then return to S, Rossore and continue to your Cinque Terre destination. 11:12 am train is good with a single connection at La Spezia, arriving Vernazza, for instance, at 12:43.
