I am planning a trip to Italy next spring for me and my husband. I am looking for an apartment inside the walls. Centrally located. No higher than first floor.
mtaus, In Italy and the rest of Europe, the first floor is the one above the Ground Floor. The Ground Floor is 0 (zero).
I don't know which usage you mean for "first floor", you may wish to clarify.
I would look on AirBnB or Booking.com. Read the descriptions and reviews carefully.
There are lots of sites to choose from.
Air BnB, Homeaway, VRBO.....etc.
hey mtaus
like chris mentions about the first floor. do you want a ground floor or first floor?
do you need lift/elevator, climb stairs with luggage okay? your budget in euros, how many days (dates), A/C, washer, if early check in allowed if not baggage storage, balcony/terrace, linen charge, minimum stay, fees? lots to think about.

Just no higher than the first floor. I should have included that I understood what ground and first floors meant.
