We will be in Luca for February. And then will be in Avignon France for March..any suggestions if we can go by train..and any info you can give us will be much appreciated

There are some Luca's in France. But maybe you mean Lucca, Italy? It would be helpful to understand if you are touring vacationers, or if there is some other aspect to your "residence" in these cities? They are quite far apart, and would not usually be "paired".

If you do mean, Lucca, Italy, then traveling to Avignon would make for a very long travel day.
We traveled in reverse (Avignon to Florence), many years ago, however, we spent an overnight in Nice, but it was still a long day via train.
