Lost Rick Steves' book and I am in Italy!

On our second day in Rome, somehow I have managed to lose Rick Steves' Italy book. I think I took it out and left it somewhere. I can find a lot of info online but I cannot get the heart of Rome walk, Jewish Ghetto walk, Trastevere walk and Florence walk map that are in the book. Is there any way to get those somehow? If someone could even take a pic of those maps and send me an email, that would be awesome!

This is our first trip to Italy (to Europe actually). I am really glad we came here in December. I have been walking around with a t-shirt. I like cold weather. But even for people who like warm weather, a light jacket should be sufficient.

Thanks, everyone.

Have you got an electronic device that can open a Kindle app? If so you can buy the book instantly and within a few moments open it on your device. Pretty slick. Amazon can help, even at night and on the Sunday before Christmas.

Everywhere (I'm thinking of Feltrinelli, especially the Largo Argentina location) who can sell a paper copy will likely be shut in Rome tomorrow, its Christmas Eve. Electronic is reliable and fast.

Glad those t-shirts help out.

Better to not put your email out there for every spammer to capture. PMs work pretty well around here.

Many of the RS recommended hotels have RS Guide books that have been left when travelers depart. They can be in the lobby, computer center, library. Just ask, if you're staying in a hotel recommended by RS.

Most RS hotels have RS books lying about in their lobby.

Another option - available on Christmas Eve and 24/7 - download the Rick Steves Audio Europe App on your phone. Then choose "Find Tours & Interviews" and do not choose "Italy" but rather "Italy (Venice, Florence, Rome)."

I see audio versions that you can download for "Rome - Heart of Rome" and "Rome - Jewish Ghetto" and "Rome - Trastevere" along with oodles of others!

Divertivi!

Edited to add: I see (now) that this has already been suggested!

I have seen RS books In Italy and France (English Version) in book stores that sell books in English. Usually spotted these stores on main streets in tourist areas. You can also ask at Embassy.
Best of Luck in finding a copy of the book.

What a great response by this forum. For a future but slower method, Amazon.it has a delivery option so orders can be sent to many Italian post offices as well as lockers at various commercial establishments

Thanks, everyone for your replies. I knew of the risk involved by giving my email address. I have removed it though. I actually found most of the maps in the audio guide section which includes a PDF file of the map.

I already spent money on the actual book - I just didn't wanna buy it again since we are not going to come back to Italy that frequently - although I would love to come back soon.

Merry Christmas. Grazie Mille!
