We will be in Venice end of Aug. 2018. One hotel that was recommended by friends is Hotel Flora. I have inquired twice over the past week without a response. Usually we hear back from an inquiry within 48 hours. It is a RS recommendation. Any recommendations about this hotel or comparable for the area? We like the idea of a boutique hotel in that area, breakfast included & free cancellation if needed.

Don’t give up! We just checked out last week from there after 8 nights on a tour. Charming, warm and friendly, quiet, comfortable rooms and great location. Would return in a heartbeat!
We stayed at Hotel Serenissima a couple years ago. It's a very quick walk to San Marco. It was a lovely hotel with the grandmother taking great care of the breakfast room every morning!
