We were in Venice in March 2023. At the time there was a small savings (~5euro?) for purchasing our Venezia Unica, transit (vaporetto only) cards online at least 30 days out. I think we bought 2 cards for 3 days (72 hours). We'll be back in Venice this March and I'm looking to purchase the 2 day vaporetto pass that also includes one way bus from the airport to Venice (Piazzale Roma). There doesn't appear to be any discount for purchasing early now.
So, my question is - how difficult is it to just buy these passes at the airport before boarding the bus? If I buy online, I get a voucher and PNR(pin) and still have to go to a machine to get the actual passes, which we had to do last time upon arrival at the train station.
Has anyone purchased the pass at the airport recently (in the last 2 years?) Is it fairly intuitive?
Thank you.
