Looking for safe area for lodging for female solo traveler to Torino

We stayed here https://a-casa-di-gio-torino.worhot.com/ some years ago and enjoyed it. Great location, quirky deco, lovely hostess. Torino feels very safe overall and this is a lively area.

I stayed at Hotel Concord Torino in 2025 as a solo traveler. The front desk staff were very helpful. Breakfast was included. I never felt “unsafe” in Torino.

Thank you both for the suggestions, and it's good to know that Torino is a safe place to stay! On the first one, I prefer not to share a bathroom, and on the second one I'm hoping to find something less than 200 Euros a night.

Hi, Giangilberto from Milan, I’ve been to Turin countless times and still visit frequently because I have friends there. The city is very safe, Italy is among the safest countries in the world, the only thing to watch out for is pickpocketing, though even that occurs at low levels.
So, in my opinion, no matter which area of Turin you choose for your accommodation, you shouldn't have any problems.
I’d recommend staying near the Porta Nuova station if you’re traveling by train, it’s a central area where you can get around on foot and stay close to the station.
In my view, the best neighborhoods to stay in whether for experiencing the city or visiting over a couple of days are the City Center, San Salvario, Crocetta, and Vanchiglia, so I’d look for accommodation in those areas.
I’ll also add a few tips on what’s worth visiting: definitely the Mole Antonelliana, the city’s landmark. You can go all the way to the top for a spectacular view of Turin. Inside, you’ll find the National Museum of Italian Cinema in my opinion, the best cinema museum in Italy.
Also, if you want to take a short trip just outside the city, you can visit the Hunting Residence of Stupinigi or the Royal Palace of Venaria, both are true gems of Savoy architecture.

From Turin, Lingotto Station, GTT bus line 41 toward Orbassano reaches the area near the Palazzina (Stupinigi stop) in about 20 minutes.

The SFM – Servizio Ferroviario Metropolitano (Metropolitan Railway Service) railway lines: SFM4, SFM6, SFM7 provide convenient and sustainable access to the Reggia from Turin, Caselle Airport and various locations such as Fossano, Alba, Asti. Stop “Reggia di Venaria” (Viale Roma), about 500 m. walk along Via Andrea Mensa in the The Old Town Center to reach the Reggia di Venaria ticket office.
