I have one night in Tuscany with my red wine loving hubby - we will have a car. Need to find a great multi-course wine dinner and villa to stay at late August.

A few years ago we followed another RS poster's advice and booked an apartment here: https://montorio.com/. Very nice place offering free parking on site and just down the hill from Montepulciano. Just up the street (ie an easy walk) is the church of San Biagio, and across the street from the church is this place https://www.lagrottamontepulciano.it/main.php which was the most atmospheric restaurant we dined at during our 5 week anniversary trip to Italy. We're not big oenophiles ourselves but their wine cellar seemed to be huge - offering local reds from across the region at reasonable prices.
