Looking for nice hotel in Milan for one night

I am looking for a nice, reasonably priced (under $250) hotel in Milan for one night. My husband and I are flying out of Milan at the end of our honeymoon tour of Italy and I've had a hard time finding anything that looks decent but still reasonably priced. I've checked tripadvisor and the guide books but as there are so many varying opinions and ratings it is hard to really judge the situation. I haven't seen anything that mentions which hotels are convenient to the airport so maybe there aren't any... but if there are we'd be interested in those. We'll be coming in by train in the late afternoon/evening and then leaving very early in the morning so we really don't have to be close to any sites or anything. We're really just looking for a hassle-free decent place to sleep from which we can get reliably to the airport the next day. If anyone can recommend such a place that would be great. Thanks!

try "The Best" hotel in Ricks book. a 5 min walk or taxi from train station. I stayed here, a good option and you can take public transit to Duomo if you have some time.thebesthotel@tiscalinet.it
it is not fancy but clean, friendly has elevators and a good brfast.

I don't have an answer--I'm looking for the same thing! Kent, we are leaving out of Malpensa and would appreciate any suggestions.

Try Mercure Milano Corso Genova.

They are part of a large hotel chain, the Accor Hotels.

There are 2 Accor Hotels in Milan.

The other chain is the Ibis Hotel chain.

You can not go wrong with either chain.

If you're leaving early in the morning two other hotels near the terminal (literally between the terminals) are the Hotel First (business class and modern) and the Hotel Cervo (decent but more motel-like). Both should be withing your budget and the First has a free shuttle. Both will pick you up from the Malpensa Express.

The Cervo charges a shuttle fee. Both are accustomed to early rising guests. If you stay at either one, be prepared to entertain yourself that evening. There's nothing in the neighborhood.

We just left Milan also. WE stayed at the Hotel Cervo. Motel style but very clean. Also very close to terminal. More importantly, there is a fantastic restaurant nearby. La Quercia. We thought we would have to just make due for our last evening, and my wife's birthday. But we were quite surprised. It truly made a lasting impression on us and we would go back just to dine there again.
