Looking for ideas for a 2-night stay within a morning train ride to FCO

In mid October we'll be flying into Rome, staying 4 nights, then take a train or Bla Bla car to Florence for a 28 day stay. We have two nights at the end of our trip before flying out of FCO, for which we have yet to make arrangements. Going back to Rome is an option, but we're looking at somewhere smaller and quieter that would get us into FCO by 11 am. We considered staying in Ostia Antica, but it sounds like getting to FCO isn't straight forward.

Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated.

We stayed at the Radisson Blu in Ostia, but had a hire car to return to airport.
I just looked at Booking.com for Ostia with a filter of airport shuttle and quite a few places came up.

Search the forum for "Fiumicino" for suggestions there. You could sleep there and spend your day at Ostia Antica, enjoy a seafood dinner your last night.
What is your comfort zone for travel time on the departure morning? With a car, I am comfortable with about an hour drive, with train, I play it much safer.

Hello,
Take a train instead of bla bla car- you can either book using the official websites for Trenitalia or Italo. Research on Trainline to see price and times, but book on the official websites for best prices.

Stay in Rome and take a taxi to FCO, it is a set fare and worth the money. Check the rates on the FCO website it depends whether you are "inside" or outside the Aurelian walls.

Enjoy your trip!
