I am traveling to Padua in January and it seems like every hotel in the RS guide to Italy is either booked or not taking reservations. It looks like the smaller places are taking a break.
Any suggestions for hotels?
Thanks.

Partner and I stayed at Hotel al Santo which was a Rick recommended hotel. Family owned, very good restaurant. If you can’t find anything in Padua, you might try Vicenza.
I regularly use booking.com to research hotels. I've found the reviews to be relatively reliable, because you can't leave a review unless you've stayed at the hotel.
You may get more responses if you tell us your nightly hotel budget in euros and whether you're looking for a single room or a double.
We enjoyed our stay in Vicenza which is near Padua.
I stayed at Casa del Pellegrino. Nothing fancy, no in-room restroom, but I really liked it. Very nice, helpful staff. Very reasonably priced. It’s right across the street from the Basilica di Sant’Antonio, and around the corner from the Orto Botanico and the Prato della Valle.
When we stayed in Padova, our hotel had a large pediatricians conference, so you may be running into an event during your dates. I also recommend looking at Booking.com, and you can enter Padova City Centre as the city. I usually filter it on ratings of 8+ .
I recently stayed at the Casa del Pellegrino as well. It has rooms with en suite baths as well as those without. I'd classify it as rather plain (not 3-star decor), but it was fine if you're OK with a budget option. The air conditioning and Wi-Fi worked, though you'll surely not need the former in January. The location is a few blocks off the tram line. I opt out of breakfast whenever I can, so I don't know what the breakfast situation is. There are a lot of restaurants in the area, including some down side streets that looked as if they probably had a mostly local clientele.
Thanks everyone.
I am looking for a triple, which I am sure is contributing to the difficulty and I would like to stay under 150€ and closer to 100€. I want to stay in Padova because we are using this as our launch pad to Venezia and I want to revisit Padova too.
Thanks for the suggestion of looking at Booking.com. I did find some possibilities on there including a highly-rated apartment for under 80€ a night.
I am wondering if after Epiphany smaller hotels take a break because Albergo Verdi, Hotel Al Fagiano, Hotel Al Santo, Hotel Casa del Pellegrino are either not taking reservations or are completely booked. And the other one, Hotel Majestic Toscanelli doesn’t have an appropriate room.
I am sure I’ll figure it out. This is what happens when I get a great deal on a flight, but it is all pretty last minute.
