Looking for Good restaurant in Naples italy

I love any one of the little holes in the wall where you can sit outside and enjoy a meal and excellent people watching. If you don't mind an additional, unrelated recommendation, have you taken the fast ferry to the island of Ischia? I loved Ischia!! I highly recommend a side trip there.

Other than my family's cooking, when we visited Italy our favorite food was in Naples! Loved all the little places that we found to eat!

I can't remember the names but there are some great seafood restaurants near the castle at the harbor. For pizza, da Michele.

My favorite place in town is Carmine's (Antica Trattoria di Carmine, I think is the whole name), in via dei Tribunali.

I love Napoli, too. In addition to Ischia, you can go to Cumae, an ancient site near the bay.

I am also a fan of Naples. I always make it point to eat at Trattoria Nennella, vico teatro nuovo, in the Spanish Quarter. It is a short walk from the Toledo Metro stop.

I was in Naples for a few days with a Neopolitan friend. The food was the best ever there. Aside from the famous Da Michele pizza, I really loved a place in Castelnuovo called Anema e Core (Soul and Heart), Viale Dei Platani 1. A lot of seafood dishes, great people watching and nothing but locals. I still dream about the pasta and mussels dish I had there,

I will be in Naples in May/June with my family, cant wait. We are staying in chiaia. Are the seafood restaurants mentioned near there? Where is de Michele?

You'll love Naples if you give it a chance and are open to new and exciting things. But I remember my first reaction to the city. "What the hell is this place and why am I here?" But within hrs i was in love. The chaos crazyness and most inportantly the food is why I go back every year. I'll be there next week. And as far as finding seafood pretty much any resturante you come across will have great seafood.
