We will be flying in MXF in a few days and will only have two days before we fly out. I don't really want to go into Milan. Looking for a charming village and a few nice restaurant/hotels, and easy access back to the airport. Would prefer to Uber or taxi to airport. Thanks

for MXF in your question I am substituting MXP (Malpensa) in my mind.
Locarno or Lugano, both in Switzerland are a very short train ride from Milan. No uber in Italy. A bit bigger than a village but both have lovely lakeside centres.
