Help, just returned from a trip to Sorrento. Fabulous place to visit. I am hoping someone has just recently visited Sorrento and can help me to locate one of the shops that was selling these canvas totes with rope handles. It is a Blue/navy white and tan striped canvas tote with an anchor and the words Capri and Sorrento embroidered in gold thread. It cost $10 and I gave it away to my daughter-in-law thinking it would be easy enough to replace. Thought I would be able to Google the store and street location and find it easily enough. So wrong about that!! I believe the store that I got it at was BLU. Think it was on one of the little alleyways one block back from the main road down from Piazza Tasso, possibly Via Luigi De Maio, 10. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have tried the TRIP ADVISOR site for best shopping and it does not pull up anything. Searched by satellite and have not been able to locate the store any one of the shops that were selling the same bags. I have tried endless ways of entering search phrases in Google and it brings up various totes manufactured in China available from various sites in the US.

It seems like those cute tote bags were everywhere!
The only storefront I could find with photos of similar tote bags to what you describe is "Smile Gift Shop" on Corso Italia. The totes do happen to be blue and white striped, and appear to have rope handles. The picture doesn't show the designs.
They don't have a website, but they do have a Facebook page. You could message them. If they don't have them, they might be able to give you the name of a shop that does.

Thanks for the info...yes they were everywhere and I am kicking myself that I didn't grab a couple as they were so inexpensive and would make great gifts!!! I'lI check out the photos and see if they are what I am looking for. Appreciate your quick response. :-)
