Looking for audio tours of Venice

I have the RS app on my phone and downloaded a couple audio walks for Rome and London. While I was there I THOUGHT I saw walks for Venice, but now I don't see ANY walks on the app for Venice. Am I misremembering? Iknow there are walks in his book, but I'd prefer to NOT walk around with my nose in a book.

Thanks in advance, Par

There are 4 tours on the app, but not really walking tours like you see for other cities. The Grand Canal tour is good; ride the vaporetto to see the sights. There’s a look at San Marco Piazzo and two basilica’s.

Venice is a great city to just wander in. You can’t get lost, although it will feel like it. After all, it’s a group of many islands. It took until my second visit to come to that realization.

Google maps may or may not work. Pick a landmark, know the route from it to your hotel and enjoy your wander.

The RS guide for Venice has three walking tours. St Mark's to Rialto loop walk, Rialto to Frari Church walk and St Mark's to San Zaccaria.

Google maps is pretty ordinary in Venice. Get a paper map.

joe32F,
Thanks, I appreciate the link. There's where I went to download the RS app. But when I open the app, I don't see the Venice tours anymore. I have no idea why I can't see them now.

I downloaded one of the tours to my laptop, but it turns out I don't think I can play it on my iPhone (see 4th bullet under How to Download) - I even tried to follow that link from my phone and there is no way to download it, only to choose replay speeds. I've heard that it's best to download, and not plan to listen "online" due to connectivity issues.

In the app, it seems that once you download one of the tours, it "disappears" from the "find tours" screen and shows up in your "playlist" - I thought maybe that was what happened, but the Venice tours are neither in Find Tours nor in My Playlist.

Unfortunately, I am not a technie type, but I have the Venice tours on my playlist in my Rick Steves Audio Europe App. I added them recently. You need to go to "Find Tours & Interviews". Be aware that there is a separate category for Italy (Venice, Florence, Rome) You have to touch the audio tour you want to open it and you should see a gold box that says "Download"

Thanks everyone. I refreshed my app, and suddenly the Venice tours are back. NO IDEA why they weren't appearing for a while, but I appreciate the help from all!
