Looking for Argriturismo in Piedmont - wine tasting

Looking for some recommendations on where to stay for a few nights before heading back to Milan to fly home in early Oct.

Undecided about needing a car. Any local "wine tours" that will come pick us up? or better yet, any great Argiturismo we can stay?

Both staff here and other forum contributors have recommended Barolo, which is not served by train. I don't know if you need a car, but a car is usually a convenience in wine country; on the other hand you can't drink much at lunch when you still have to drive.
