My husband and I have been to Italy several times doing all the sight seeing things. This trip we plan to stay in one place and just relax and enjoy. We have settled on San Gimignano and need help finding a small apartment to rent for 2-3 weeks in the fall. Greg loves to cook but all we need is a small kitchen area. We will only have a car for 1 week and prefer to stay in the town, not the countryside. Thanks for any help/advice you can offer. Judy

Although I finally decided to stay in Florence during my upcoming trip, I looked at a website for apartments in San Gimignano that offered weekly rates. The 2 locations noted as historic center both had apartments with small kitchens and looked very nice. Website is www.accommodation-sangimignano.it.

I have not stayed here or used this agency (it's on our shortlist of possibilities when we go in 2010), but there is a 2-bedroom, 1-bath apartment in a tower within the walled city.
