Looking for airbnb in Venice and Rome for family of 4

I am planning my first trip to Italy and am feeling overwhelmed with all the choices out there. I was wondering if anyone can suggest some airbnb's that fit a family of 4. I have 2 grown children. We are flying into Rome than traveling to Florence. Then we will go to Venice and back to Rome. I already booked one in Florence so I am looking for suggestions for Venice and Rome. Thanks so much for your help.

Rome suggestion - I spent 5 nights here in 2016. I really enjoyed the apartment and the location. The owners rent it either by room or by the whole apartment (3 bedrooms, 3 baths). I rented it through booking.com but the owners told me they would have given me a better price if I'd booked directly. The reviews on booking.com are great, as was my experience. The owners were so nice and helpful, and the apartment is in a great older apartment building with a grand staircase and an old (but functional) elevator with sliding metal gates. The dining room has a terrific view of St. Peter's Dome and the Prati neighbourhood is a real Roman neighbourhood where a lot of professional families live. Great restaurants, shopping, near Piazza Cavour and Castel Sant'Angelo. On the same trip, a few weeks earlier, I spent 3 nights near the Campo de' Fiori. It was noisy and crowded. I much preferred Prati and would stay there again. It's very easy to walk across the river to the historic centre, as well as to the Vatican. But we ate and shopped mostly in Prati and loved it.

Can't help with Venice, sorry.

While I cannot recommend a specific apartment in Roma, I can second the endorsement of the Prati neighborhood. Excellent choice for lodgings and well-connected transportation.

Meant to add a recommendation for Venezia. We stayed here a few years ago. Unique apartment, some steps to deal with, lots of space with 3 bedrooms.

We stayed at this apartment in the Coliseum area. Colosseum Three bedrooms, two baths, and air conditioning! Plus IIRC, a washer/dryer combo.

As for Venice, we stayed in a hotel, Ca' Angeli which has a family/quad room and a nice breakfast. But with four adults, an apartment would certainly be roomier.

Enjoy your trip!

We've stayed at the Pensione Gueratto in Venice a number of times. They also have several apartments to let. We've not used the apartments, but I would not hesitate to seriously consider doing so based on our experiences at the Pensione.
