Hi all. Hate to bother you with something seemingly trivial, but would you recommend a hotel near Rome Airport (FCO) for one evening? We're traveling from Catania (RS Best of Sicily Tour) and need to catch our flight back to USA the next day. The Ritz is unnecessary, a comfy 3-star would do nicely. Many thanks. I have valued your input greatly in previous postings.

most hotels in the airport area offer shuttle service. This would make your choice easier.
Just check on any online hotel booking website. Nice stay in Sicilia

I highly recommend Hotel Tiber in Fiumicino! We just stayed there last Monday night (3/20/18) before our flight home - and we also stayed there last year about this time before our flight as well. This hotel is very clean, service is solid, and the views of the water are spectacular. Breakfast is served on the rooftop lounge beginning at 6:30 also. They offer a shuttle service to the airport for $6 per person. There are also several restaurants nearby for dinner and it is enjoyable watching the fishing boats come in before sunset. We now make this a part of our annual trip!!
