i am looking to do a private tour while in rome for my family of four. two children under 12.
tried to get ron but he was booked. does anyone have another suggestion in the same price range of ron 125 euros for the entire day?

You might check with Francesca Caruso (she's listed in the Italy Guidebooks. I have no idea what her rates would be for a full day, but she's a licensed Guide and provides outstanding tours.

Just did one and it was great. It was $500 Euro for our entire family of 4, but we added a family of two and split it 6 ways. The tour let us do it! We used Best Tour of Italy, Massimo was the owner. I would have to look up exact website. Nice Mercedes van. We did book 3 tours, so we may have gotten a discount. We did pay extra for the guide in the Vatican, but she was worth the 100 euros. Great family trip and my kids loved it. My friends used Romeintours. She liked it as well, but they paid a bit more. Good luck and have fun!

Try Jason Spiehler! We just got back and did 3 tours with him. He is fantastic! He's from Lousiana and others on this helpline have raved about him. Extremely knowledgable, and made sure all were enjoying themselves.
