Looking for a great, small leather tailor in Italy

Traveling to Rome, Milan, Venice and Florence- 20 days total 11/9 to 11/30/2019. I would love bespoke jackets and hand bags. I am not looking for the big fashion houses that up charge you. Looking for local and small family business with 30 or more years of experience. Please advise! Thanks in advance!

Check out Il Grifone in Venice. On our trip to Italy last month, I purchased two leather bags in Florence (at poster recommended shops that I read about on this forum) and one at Il Grifone in Venice. We were in Florence first, then went to Venice. I wish I had waited to purchase 3 bags at Il Grifone! The quality is FAR superior to the bags I purchased in Florence. I will enjoy my other two bags, but I will treasure the bag I purchased at Il Grifone. I also purchased a small pouch and keychain there. While we looked, the artisan owner was working right in the shop. I briefly visited with him, and I asked how long he has been creating beautiful leather pieces. I can't remember how many years he said, but based on the fact that he looked as though he could have retired a while ago, I'm guessing he's been in business a long time! I'm so glad he hasn't retired!! I wish I had purchased another pouch there. Be sure to check his opening hours ahead of time. We got there and he was closed for lunch so we had to come back. Enjoy your trip!

In Florence you might try Massimo Leather. Massimo and his wife have been in business for over 20 years, but I don't know if it's been a full 30 years. They carry a large selection of jackets and hand bags and sell them at fair prices. While they don't produce their own products on site, all items are sewn locally using high quality Italian leather. For alterations they use a man near their store whose profession is leather alternations. I've purchased multiple items over the years and have been very happy with everything I've purchased.
