Looking for a base location for exploring Pisa, Florence and Cinque Terre for a couple days

I am planning a trip for the first week in April and would like to find a good location to spend a couple days where I can take the train to Pisa, Florence and Cinque Terre. I typically like to find a nice hotel near the station so that I don't have to haul my suitcase far and also makes it nice to jump on the train to visit the nearby towns.

Any recommendations appreciated.

I would suggest Lucca. It is a nice town to stay. Very close to Pisa. Good train connection to Florence and Cinque Terre, also relatively close to them.

I too would say Lucca. Pisa less than a half hour, Florence 1:15 and Cinque Terre 1:30
