We are meeting up with friends at the Roma Termini before an early afternoon train. Ideally, it would be a place we could get an espresso and snack or light meal. Any place you can recommend that is easy to find and you enjoyed?
We have not been there in awhile, but there was a new Terrazza Termini built a few years ago that was a bit out of the main traffic and offered places to sit and get a snack or light meal. Man in Seat 61 covers Termini quite well here https://www.seat61.com/stations/rome-termini.htm#Somewhere_to_eat_between_trains.
There’s a directory of sort here courtesy of Google.
My husband and I love the Mercato Centrale Roma at Termini and try to eat there every time we go through the station. Almost as soon as you walk in, there’s a wine bar and I park myself there with our luggage while my husband forages for whatever cooked food or snacks look good and brings it to our table. But there are lots of different places to sit. A nice bathroom is all the way in the back. I can’t picture where coffee is —- surely several places! You can meet your friends in the hallway before you go in, since the number of places and people inside might make it hard to find each other. It’s a fun, busy place, and not at all like being in a train station coffee bar.
Easy to find to meet, not to eat, but to find: McDonalds. J
Thank you for the recommendation.
