Long Term Apartment Rentals in Florence?

I am in the beginning phases of my 2nd big Italian stay. Starting in August of next year i'll be studying wine in Florence @ a university but want to get my own housing instead of the housing provided by the university.

Does anyone have any suggestions for agencies to look at online for apartments? Looking for a one bedroom, which will be shared with my girlfriend, in the 700-900EURO a month range.

Does the college have a housing referal service? A campus bulletin board? It seems odd that if you are currently in Florence, you can't nail this down. Good luck.

JB do you want to be close to the university and if so where is it located? How long a stay - a semester or a whole year?

I know of some places - but you can also check Craigslist Florence - and if you can read Italian there are some other sites I can suggest - let me know.

Sorry I didn't update my profile since i've been in Europe. I'm not back in college in Charleston, SC.

I'm not really looking to live close to the university, which is on via guelfa close to Piazza San Lorenzo. I'm thinking on the other side of the Arno that's in a decent area within close proximity to the historic downtown area. We're looking to pay about 700-900EURO a month and is of a comfortable size for two people to live. I use to live on the Piazza San Lorenzo and loved it, had a beautiful view but the tourists traffic got a little overwhelming and congested. I will be there September-December then February-May so we might be getting two different apartments if we aren't pleased with the apartment first semester. Thanks for the tips.
