We are planning to spend two weeks in Florence. The Florence and Tuscany guidebook seems to only recommend hotels and hostels. Is there some reason why we should not rent an apartment?
VRBO and Homeaway are also great sights for finding apartments. We've booked apartments in 4 Italian cities for our trip in May. 2 weeks in Florence sounds like heaven! Ruth
Certainly not. Florence hotels are very expensive, and an apartment would save you greatly, including having a place to cook. You should easily be able to find apartments for rent on the web and/or Craigslist.com. AirBnB.com also has a bunch of apartments for rent in Florence.
