Long layover at Charles De Gaulle

We are traveling to Rome on May 19-arriving on May 20. We arrive into CDG @ 8AM and leave from there to Rome @ 2:10 PM. Any advice on where to spend those 6 hours? Do the airline lounges have places to nap? Is there a short stay hotel in the airport? Thanks for any advice!

Air France has several at CDG.
Your flight from North America will arrive at terminal 2E and your flight to Rome will depart from Terminal 2F. Give yourself ample time to transfer between the two, CDG is huge and you have to clear Passport Control. At least 1.5-2 hours will be gone from the time the plane hits the tarmac and the time you are at the gate at 2F.

We were just in the Air France lounge in 2F. We spent a 5 hour layover there. We had three actual hours - we spent one getting off our flight and getting to the 2F area and then we were at our gate for the second flight one hour early.

For our three hours, the AF lounge was fine. There is plenty of food there and lots of seating. At the far back end of the lounge is a darkened area with cocoon-style chairs for relaxation. They were all filled when we walked by and we never checked again. If you hung out nearby at a table, you could grab one as people leave.
