Planning a two week trip next May to Italy. This will be my husband and I’s third trip to Italy so we’ve seen a lot already. This trip will be with 11 people, this will be their first trip to Italy. They want to stick to less touristy spots and are looking for site seeing, architecture, and experiences like wineries and cooking classes.
So far I was thinking:
-Fly in/out of Milan
-Bergamo / Lake Iselo
-Lake Garda and Verona (I know these are typically busier spots but still high on our list)
-Parma, Modena, Ravenna (most likely Bologna as a base)
Thinking from here to go to the Le Marche region. I’ve read wonderful things but with our current route wanted to give a few options to the group, especially if there are other places that work better.
My husband and I have been to the Dolomites and Cinque Terre so we were looking for a different option to see new parts of Italy as well! We do not have an interest in Venice but would be open to other parts of the Veneto region
