Logistics for seeing the Last Supper

I’m planning a trip that includes four nights in Stresa, in late April. If I can get a ticket to see the Last Supper during that time, I would do a Milano day trip. My questions are:

It looks like the official site starts selling tickets two months in advance - true? Also considering booking a tour that includes it instead, possibly with Walks of Italy. Would that be a more hopeful proposition?

Transportation/train stations: are ‘Milano Cadorna’ and ‘Milano Nord Cadorna’ the same thing? (The first is what appears on Trenitalia, whereas the second appears on my online map.). Also, on the map it appears to be a quick and easy walk from the train station to the Last Supper location, but is it actually?

Thanks!

Yes, a it’s very easy short walk from Cafirna Station to Santa Maria delle Grazie where “ The Last Supper” is located. We stayed in that area and enjoyed it.

Thanks, Gail. I had just discovered that April tickets were available, and registered on the website, and am now stuck in an endless loop of trying to log in and having it rejected. Grrr 😡. Will post again if I can ever get it to work.

Gail, you’re the best! I did get an email, and now have a ticket. Thanks so much! I was so jazzed by reservation success that I went ahead and made a couple more for my previous stop - Firenze - namely, the Uffizi and a combo ticket for the Accademia and Santa Croce. Whoo!
