Logical order for Puglia destinations by public transport

I'm going to be in Puglia for a few weeks and determining a good order to visit places (I'll be arriving and departing via Bari).

In addition to Bari, Lecci, and Otranto these places below are fairly close together:

Polignano, Monopoli, Conversano, Ostuni, Locorotondo, Alberobello.

Is there an order to visiting these 6 places that would make sense to follow and be convenient using trains and bus?

Cheers

Hi Martin,

I’m planning a trip to Puglia and will be taking trains and a bus. I’m going to Trani, Bari, Alberobello, Martina Franca, Lecce, Ostuni and Polignano a Mare. The bus is from Bari to Alberobello; otherwise, it’s trains.

For your route, it would be Bari, Alberobello, Locorotondo, Lecce, Otranto, Ostuni, Monopoli/Polignano a Mare, return to Bari. (I’m not familiar with Conversano.)

Hello Jean,

According to the order you wrote - is there a direct train or bus from Locorotondo to Lecce?

I’ve not heard of Martina Franca before I’ll take a look into it.

P.S. my research says there’s a 15 minute bus from Poliganao to Conversano, and it certainly looks worthwhile visiting, especially if that close to Poliganao.

Hi, it looks like you will need to catch the train at Fasano (15-minute taxi) or take the 10-minute bus (or 6-minute taxi) to Martina Franca to catch the train to Lecce. The train takes an extra hour starting from Martina Franca compared to Fasano.
