lodgning in Bellagio

We made the mistake of asking a travel agent to find us a place in Bellagio the 3rd week in September. She waited until now to check and found the regular hotels are full. Does anyone have any suggestions for staying in that town? At this point, we certainly don't have to stay on the waterfront. It would be around the 17th to the 20th Thanks

Have you tried both tripadvisor.com and venere.com? I believe venere.com has a feature where it will show you only those places that still have availability for the days you need. Happy travels. P.S. "Travel agent"?? What's that? :-)

Mike, It's a bit "late" to be looking for lodgings at any of the main tourist locations in Italy, as September is rapidly approaching. I started looking for a room in the Cinque Terre in about March, for a stay in September. Even though I started early, it still took me about four days and a change in my Itinerary to get something booked. You might check the Italy Guidebook for lodgings in Bellagio. There may be something available? You could also consider staying in Varenna, although it could also be a challenge to find something there. If you decide to change your location to Varenna, have a look at: > Albergo Milano > Albergo Olivedo > Royal Hotel Victoria > Hotel Eremo Gaudio > Villa Cipressi I still use a Travel Agent for some aspects of travel, but usually prefer to choose my accommodations based on location and price. The Guidebooks are enormously helpful with that, as the accommodation listings are reviewed and updated every year. At this point, you might have to take what you can get..... Good luck!
