Hi - We are flying home from Milan Italy on October 5, 2010. We would really appreciate some advice on a good place to spend the night of October 4. We do want to be close to the airport so we can there easily. Thanks in advance for your help. Bill

Bill, I stay at the Best Hotel a few blocks from the train station, easy walk to the bus and fairly cheap too. Tom

Hi - I just became aware (thanks to another post), that Milan has 3 airports. Our ticket says we are flying into LIN (Milan-Linate) airport. So my request has to be revised with that in mind. Thanks! Bill

Note that Bill's 2nd post clarifies that he is flying out of Linate, not Malpensa.

Looking at a previous post, someone suggested staying at the Hotel Malpensa[INVALID]it's expensive however, they have a shuttle to Malpensa airport. Maybe they have a shuttle to Linate also. There's also a shuttle between the two airports, hourly from 7:50-00:25 for 10 euros. Just an idea. Good luck!

In July 2009 we stayed at Hotel Berna as we were flying out of Linate. Hotel Berna is an easy and quick walk from the main train station and we would stay here again if in Milan. Very easy to get to Duomo and other sights using the subway.
