I'm wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a convent, B&B, room, etc (ie, simple lodging) near the church of SS Trinità al Monte (ie, the church at the top of the Spanish Steps). I'd like to be able to join the monastic community for prayer a couple of times a day, and I have no desire to have to climb the Spanish Steps twice daily (plus, I think they are currently closed and undergoing refurbishing?).
So I'm hoping to find simple lodging in the area near the top of the Spanish Steps. Looking at maps, it's very difficult to tell whether a property is at the level of the bottom of the Steps, or at the level of the top of the Steps. I would welcome any suggestions.
